This unit replaces the ramp and ball release mechanism on 1971-1984 Harley Davidson Ironheads. 

No more fade, pour engagement and clutch chatter…Simply thread the Hydro Clutch into the clutch adjustment hole and plumb to a master cylinder with a 9/16" or 11/16" bore. • The hydro clutch was not designed to reduce the pull effort at the lever. This unit was designed to eliminate the poorly designed ball and ramp mechanism that comes stock on 1971-1984 Iron Heads.
